Sling is a very handsome boy - pictures do not do him justice!! His mom was an American Bulldog and dad was a Lab. Sling was surrendered as there were too many dogs in the home and the people could not handle them all. Due to this fact, Sling did not get a lot of attention and can be a bit shy but does warm up once he realizes he will not be hurt; although he can be shy, he does not have an aggressive bone in his body and with time, patience and lots of love, his confidence will grow and he will blossom!
At present, Sling is in a foster home with 5 other dogs of all sizes and ages and does great with all of them! There are also 3 cats in the foster home and Sling has no problems with them at all. Sling takes treats very gently, has no food or toy guarding issues and walks very well on leash. He likes to be petted and kissed and will return your kisses enthusiastically! Sling is crate trained and seems to be housebroken.
Sling does well with older children and strangers as long as he has the proper introduction with them. We feel Sling would do best in a home that has older or no children as he does not understand the quick movements of little ones.
